On National we take time to honour and celebrate the history, languages, cultures, and contributions of all First Nations, Inuit, and Métis.

Today, and every day, we commit ourselves to the work still ahead on the road to reconciliation.

This National Indigenous History Month, we honour Indigenous cultures, and celebrate the contributions and successes of Indigenous Peoples.

We’ll continue standing together to confront inequality, fight discrimination, and work to advance reconciliation.

Congratulations Emma.

Mark Carney and our Liberal team have a plan to build a stronger economy, protect workers, and put more money in your pocket.

Take our 2025 Priorities for Parliament Survey, and share your top priorities as we get to work:

Please take a moment to share your views, so we can keep working together to build a better future for all Canadians.

Yesterday, history was made, and I am so proud to offer my congratulations to Prime Minister Mark Carney, and to all my colleagues elected from across the country!
This was the most consequential election of our lifetime. The Liberal victory would not have been possible without the efforts and dedication of so many people, and I have much to be grateful for.

I am truly honoured to be elected as the next representative for the riding of Peterborough in Parliament.

As I prepare to take up my new role, I reaffirm my intention to bring honour to the role of Member of Parliament for Peterborough. I will

Listen more than I speak
Seek to unite our residents around achieving community goals
Work with everyone - regardless of how they voted
Be your voice in Ottawa, not Ottawa’s voice in Peterborough

Let’s get started!

I talk to many people at the door who are adamant that they do not want their health care privatized.

In the United States healthcare is a business, in Canada it’s a right. I am committed to ensuring that our publicly funded health system is supported and strengthened to be free of charge, fair, universal, and accessible.
