Great news! The Kawartha Community Foundation has announced the recipients of the 2026 Social Sustainability Fund. Our Child Development Program, along with many other deserving charity programs in the City of Kawartha Lakes are receiving support. This funding will help children and youth in the City of Kawartha Lakes overcome financial barriers to participating in extracurricular activities that promote confidence, connection and well-being.

A heartfelt thank you to the Kawartha Community Foundation for recognizing the value of this program and supporting opportunities that help children and youth thrive in our community. This support will help us continue to support local children and youth to access meaningful extracurricular opportunities. 💜

Meet Our Newest Board Member: Pam

Pam is a dedicated community leader with a passion for supporting children, youth, and families throughout our region. Her professional background in administrative and client service roles has given her valuable experience in organization, communication, and helping others navigate important decisions.

Beyond her professional work, Pam is deeply involved in her community. She volunteers as a youth leader and children’s ministry teacher at her local church, where she mentors young people and helps create welcoming and supportive spaces for children and families. She also volunteers at a local school, further demonstrating her commitment to helping children and youth thrive.

We’re grateful to have Pam’s experience, compassion, and dedication to our community on our Board of Directors. Please join us in giving Pam a warm welcome! 💙

Help Keep Local Kids Warm This Winter! 💙

A big thank you to the Peterborough Police Service for supporting us through their winter gear drive! 🐾 Tilly, their facility dog, is helping spread the word about the importance of keeping kids warm as the colder months approach.

You can help too! We’re collecting new winter essentials, including boots, coats, hats, mittens, and scarves, to help local children and youth stay warm and comfortable this winter.
