The time is now! TUPS is now opening the 2020/2021 election up for next years executive board! Below is this years timeline, as well as the constitution and nomination form have been sent to emails. If you have not received them and wish to do so please contact us immediately for this on any platform. This is a great experience to get engaged and build the TUPS community in the coming year - don't be daunted by the process!

Nominations and campaigning will open from March 16th-30th at noon (this is time to get nomination form filled out and spread the news to peers to vote for you)! Following this, speeches will take place March 30th in the evening (time TBD - this is important for you to present your platform or blurb about why you deserve the vote)! Voting will then span from March 31st-April 3rd at midnight from your Trent email! Candidates will be notified on the 4th and results will be come public on the 6th.

Campaign packages (including rules and procedures) can be obtained via the Chief 2020 Electoral Officer ([email protected]). Please provide a brief summary of yourself and your platform for next years position - whatever it may be!

Please contact us if anything is confusing and we will do out best to help! Best of luck to all!

Happening this Friday! Our first formal joint with the IDST department is a way for us to celebrate a great year for all alumni, faculty and students! This event is formal - so no jeans for sure - pull out those fancy clothes and get all fancied up! No formal clothes or too many in need of sharing? Contact [email protected] and they'll help you out! Light food will be present as well as a cash bar. Tickets are completely FREE and available from the cottage until the event (13th) - it confirms your attendance to the event!

The Elaine Stavro Distinguished Visiting Scholar in Theory, Politics & Gender Studies was created to introduce Trent students to leading speakers on sociological issues and significantly build on the University's reputation for interdisciplinary programs. The Visiting Scholar will provide students, faculty and members of the Peterborough community with exceptional access to eminent scholars and people engaged in theory, politics and gender studies.
