Full circle moment for PC Thompson!

Several years ago our recruitment team met him as a student during the same reverse job fair.

He started with us as a Special Constable working court security and prisoner management and he is now serving as officer with the Peterborough Police Service

Earlier this week we attended the Canadian HR Awards in Toronto. We were shortlisted for an excellence award for the second year in a row and only police service to be nominated.

From Chief Betts:
“Our team might small but the talent is huge and the results speak for themselves with a 50% reduction in turnover and and absenteeism rate at half of the provincial average and maintaining a full compliment of sworn personnel. They have worked tirelessly to ensure our community has the right people (sworn and civilian) in the Organization to best serve the public. Because public safety starts with people and our community’s safety is their priority.

Although we didn’t take home the trophy, their outstanding efforts mean the Organization and the community win.”

👏👏👏
