Hello Ward 1,

June is Seniors Month in Ontario, and I wanted to take a moment to recognize a very special part of our community — our seniors. ❤️

The seniors in Ward 1 helped build the community we know and love today. They raised families here, worked hard, volunteered, supported local organizations, and helped shape the neighbourhoods we proudly call home.

They gave so much to our community.

And now, it's our turn to give back.

I believe our seniors deserve more than appreciation — they deserve action. They deserve a councillor who listens, who understands their needs, and who truly has their back.

That means advocating for meaningful seniors' property tax relief, supporting independent living spaces, and ensuring our seniors can live with dignity, connection, safety, and the quality of life they deserve.

Because every neighbour deserves to be heard — especially those who spent a lifetime building our community.

To all the seniors in Ward 1: thank you. We see you, we appreciate you, and we value everything you’ve done.

May has been filled with conversations, handshakes, door knocks, and meaningful moments across our community. Every street visited and every conversation shared has reminded us of something important: people care deeply about the future of Ward 1.

Thank you to everyone who opened their door, shared their thoughts, followed the journey, shared a post, or simply took a moment to connect. Your encouragement, ideas, and support are what keep this momentum growing.

This campaign has never been about one person — it’s about our community, our families, and building a stronger future together.

And we’re only getting started.

June will bring more conversations, more listening, and even more opportunities to connect. Stay with us — the best is still ahead. 🍁

I was honoured to join more than 100 participants at William’s Run for Hope, a meaningful event dedicated to supporting youth mental health. Seeing our community come together to raise over $28,000 for such an important cause was truly inspiring.

A sincere thank you to the volunteers and community partners, including the Canadian Progress Club Durham Chapter, Westshore Community Association, St. Paul’s on the Hill Food Bank, Stretch Canada, Hope +Me, and the DRPS Bike Patrol, for making this event a success. Together, we are making a difference in the lives of young people and their families.

Your tax dollars should work for you — and every dollar should be spent with accountability.

I’m committed to fighting unreasonable tax increases, ensuring transparency in public spending, and supporting smart economic growth that strengthens Pickering’s commercial tax base. That means keeping our city affordable while protecting the services families rely on.

Fiscal responsibility is more than a campaign promise — it’s about respecting residents, making responsible decisions, and building a stronger future for our community.
