Lakeshore Beach is Serena's favourite spot to read & relax, but when she's feeling more active, you'll find her on the Cedar Sands Trail enjoying the river lookout points. 🥾🌲🦆

🏖️ Looking for the most accessible way to reach the beach?

During the summer, Mobi Mats are available at Outlet Beach (across from the Park Store and from the Outlet A Campground), and Lakeshore Beach!

Beach wheelchairs and aquatic wheelchairs are also available by visiting the Gatehouse, Woodyard, or Park Office.

Time for walkies?

You and your pet have lots of options at Sandbanks!; Just remeber the beaches outside of our pet designated areas are not one of them.

In addition to trails and day-use areas, the following beachfronts welcome furry friends:

📍 Outlet Beach (South end, at the mouth of the Outlet River)
📍 Lakeshore Beach (South end)

Remember to keep your pet on-leash at all times and always pick up after them. 💩🗑️

🫧 What's hiding in that bubbly "spit"?

The frothy bubble mass is actually created by a young spittlebug, by mixing plant sap with air bubbles! The foam helps protect the tiny insect from drying out and from predators.

This , we're featuring Lydia, who is spending her first season welcoming visitors as a gate attendant!

Her favourite part? "Helping visitors start their park experience with a smile." When she's not at the gate, Lydia loves spending time at the beach and enjoying the sunshine. 🌞🏖️

It's the late 1800s. Which of these Lakeshore Lodge attractions would you be enjoying?

After more than 100 years and 1 million visitors, Lakeshore House (as it was originally called) closed its doors in 1972 before burning down in 1983.

Today, the Lakeshore Lodge emblem, painted on the concrete slab of the once-renowned dance hall, serves as a reminder of the grand hotel that once stood on this site within Sandbanks Provincial Park.
