Having served on Pitt Meadows City Council with Nicole for the last 8 years, I am delighted she is running again for Mayor. Nicole has provided a clear focus on what matters to our community and has led with respect and great integrity. Our council has worked cohesively under Nicole’s leadership and I look forward to another four years working alongside her.

Having been voted as the #1 small community in all of Canada in 2026, let’s maintain our position as the best place to live, work and raise a family. It takes strong leadership and dedication to sustain the quality of life for all who call Pitt Meadows home.

On October 17, vote for your community and re-elect Mayor Nicole MacDonald - Pitt Meadows and Councillor Bob Meachen for City of Pitt Meadows BC

As the municipal election approaches, I’m committed to running a focused, responsible, and community-minded campaign.

As an independent candidate for Pitt Meadows City Council, I’ll be limiting the number of campaign signs and mail-outs. When campaign materials are needed, I’m committed to sourcing them locally whenever possible—supporting the independent businesses that contribute so much to our community.

Affordability is one of the most pressing concerns facing many Pitt Meadows residents. I believe that same awareness should guide how we make decisions at City Hall: spend carefully, set clear priorities, and always respect taxpayers.

My core values remain at the heart of my campaign:

Practical decisions. Common sense. Strong financial management. Quality of life. Safety and security.

Most importantly, I want to help keep Pitt Meadows a welcoming, affordable, safe, and vibrant community—and one of the best places to live in Canada.

Independent. Local. Focused on Pitt Meadows.

This will impact traffic trying to cross northbound from Langley/Surrey into Ridge Meadows, via the Golden Ears Bridge. The 201 street on-ramp is the south end of the bridge.

Good morning,

From August 24 to 28 between 5 a.m. and 2 p.m. daily, TransLink crews will be closing two of three lanes northbound on Golden Ears Way at the 201 Street on-ramp. This closure is required to conduct maintenance work on the expansion joint between the approach and bridge structure.

Driver Impacts
Two of three lanes on the 201st Street on ramp will be closed between 5 a.m. and 2 p.m. daily. Traffic is reduced to a single lane. Signage will be in place to inform and direct drivers. Expect peak hour delay of up to 30 minutes. Drivers are advised to plan ahead for delays.

Transit Impacts
Customers on Route 595 may experience some minor delays. Customers are advised to plan ahead.

Pedestrian/Cycling Impacts
No anticipated impacts.

For more information on these closures, residents should reach out to TransLink’s Customer Information Centre at 604-953-3333. For additional project information, visit translink.ca/bridges.

A notice has been posted to the City’s website and will be shared on social media.

TransLink owns and maintains five bridges in the Metro Vancouver region.
