We have been working hard to create a clean and safe environment for everyone with renovations to help with cleanliness and minimizing germ spreading. Over haul of the HVAC system to improve air quality, air purifiers on their way, wainscoting for durable safe sanitation, and new paint in all classrooms. And- our Outdoor classroom is being built now!

It’s been a tough couple of years for us all in childcare, however we are doing our best to meet and exceed operational regulations.

Tomorrow is National Children’s day. Each year we usually have a huge dinner or event to celebrate our children and their rights as people. This year we are still unable to do this.

I will also be thinking of all the children lost to residential schools, children with mental health challenges, I also recognize the resilience children have had through this crazy pandemic. 💛💛 This year has been difficult on so many levels, and we always need to remember that our children are also effected by changes in our world our environment, our homes etc. 💛💛

KEYC will be sending something special home for each child this weekend in lieu of our usual celebrations.

I hope everyone takes some time to celebrate their children tomorrow ❤️

Good morning- notice to families- you should come in via Harris to Bonson other routes are closed and Bonson starting to flood just before Elmer’s. Drive safely. I would recommend not going anywhere today if you don’t have too- the ditches are getting extremely full and I suspect more roads will be closed soon.

KEYC is so fortunate to have great community partners and opportunities for our children!

Today we visited the CEED Centre and picked up a ton of new books that will be shared amongst our community and programs. A very special thank you to FIRST BOOKS, MRPMK Community Literacy committee and Elaine Yamamoto for their generosity and time coordinating this amazing book fair annually.
