Known locally for her baking, her creativity has expanded to include writing and we are happy to have a copy of her book arriving next week!

You can find a copy of Tamara's book on our 'New Arrivals' shelf on Tuesday, Oct 2! Come check it out and support our local author :)

This is a great opportunity provided by one of our great community partners, Community Youth Network - CYN Placentia, completely FREE and lead by one of our communties sweetest voices, Paula Milley!! Register here: REGISTER HERE: bit.ly/nlmusicandculture

Check this out, music lovers!!🎶

CYN Placentia is partnering with Laval High School to bring to you "Newfoundland and Labrador Music and Culture Group" for our local youth!

This is a brand new, FREE program that is for students in Grades 7-12 where you can attend each week and learn new NL songs as a group - no musical experience needed!

Sessions take place every Thursday from 3:00-4:00PM, starting October 8th in Laval High School's LRC room.

You are welcome to bring your own instruments to play along to the lyrics and chords (optional), grab a rhythmic egg shaker that will be available for all who participate, or simply sing along with the group!

We have big plans for this group, such as making homemade "Ugly Sticks" and performing a song at Yvonne Milley's School of Music Recital in December (optional), among other things!

If you are looking to make friends, share in music, and learn more about NL traditional songs and the history of our province, then sign up to attend the sessions!

We hope to see you there!🎶
