We have an EXTRA book for kids starting kindergarten this year! If you have already recieved your 2 free books and bag, you can come back and get this new book. If you haven't made it down to get your 2 books and bag, you can still come and collect them and this new book! **note this is for kids who attended Kinderstart in 2025/26 and will be starting Kindergarten this September!**

The Placentia Public Library, Community Youth Network - CYN Placentia and Freshwater Community Centre are once again offering a School Supply drive for the upcoming school year.

The lists for the local schools have been added to this post to help with any donations or pick ups. There is a box located in the porch of the library, as well as the Freshwater Community Centre for the public to avail of these donations/pick ups.

This has been a big help to some families over the years so we hope the same for this year!

A representative from Service Canada will be at the library on Tues, July 28 from 10-12 to provide info on any services available to newcomers to Canada. Please share this with anyone you think could benefit from these services! 🌏

Placentia Public Library is exicted to partner with Chelsea Hudson, Youth Outreach Worker with NLHS and Community Youth Network for Wellbeing Wednesday! Come join us for some activities on posted dates!

📍The library will be hosting a representative from Service Canada for some important FREE information sessions for 2SLGBTQIA+ communities as well as newcomers to our Country.

The information session for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community will be held Tuesday, July 7 @ 10-11am, and the session for our newcomers will be held Tuesday, July 28 @ 10-11am. Please share with anyone you think could avail of this service!!
