FLOOD WATCH - Lower Ottawa River

This FLOOD WATCH statement is an update to the Flood Outlook issued for areas along the Lower Ottawa River (Arnprior to Hawkesbury) on April 14th, 2026.

Water levels and flows have been gradually increasing along the main stem of the Ottawa River due to recent rainfall combined with snowmelt in the central portions of the Ottawa River Basin. Levels and flows are expected to continue to increase over the weekend.

From Arnprior to Britannia, minor flood levels are expected to be reached in flood-prone areas today, with the potential for major flood levels to be exceeded in some locations over the weekend.

Downstream of Britannia to Hawkesbury, minor flood levels will likely be exceeded over the weekend in flood prone areas, with the potential for major flood levels to be exceeded in some locations starting Monday.

VEILLE DE CRUE - La rivière des Outaouais

Le présent BULLETIN DE VEILLE DE CRUE constitue une mise à jour du bulletin de risque de crue émis le 14 avril 2026 pour les zones situées le long du cours inférieur de la rivière des Outaouais (d’Arnprior à Hawkesbury).

Les niveaux et les débits d’eau augmentent graduellement le long du cours principal de la rivière des Outaouais en raison des précipitations récentes combinées à la fonte des neiges dans les portions centrales du bassin. Cette tendance à la hausse devrait se poursuivre au cours de la fin de semaine.

D’Arnprior à Britannia, les niveaux de crue mineure devraient être atteints aujourd’hui dans les zones sujettes aux inondations, avec un risque que les niveaux de crue majeure soient dépassés à certains endroits au cours de la fin de semaine.

En aval de Britannia jusqu’à Hawkesbury, les niveaux de crue mineure seront probablement dépassés au cours de la fin de semaine dans les zones sujettes aux inondations, avec un risque que les niveaux de crue majeure soient dépassés à certains endroits à partir de lundi.
