Huzzah! Our Grade 4 Medieval Times Unit Has Come to an End!
After two months of learning, exploring, creating, and imagining life in the Middle Ages, our Grade 4 Medieval Times unit has officially come to an end with a spectacular celebration!
Throughout the unit, students stepped into the shoes of people from the feudal system, taking on roles such as kings, queens, knights, nobles, merchants, monks, and peasants and many more. Through hands-on activities, research, and creative projects, they gained a deeper understanding of medieval life and society.
To wrap up our learning, we enjoyed a two-day medieval extravaganza beginning with our Medieval Fair, where students proudly showcased their passion projects. Each project highlighted a different aspect of medieval life and reflected the hard work, creativity, and dedication that students put into their learning.
The celebrations concluded with our Medieval Feast, a grand banquet where students gathered to enjoy medieval-inspired foods, speeches from the nobility, entertainment from our jesters, and music from traveling troubadours. It was a wonderful way to bring history to life and celebrate all that we had learned together.
A heartfelt thank you to all of the parent volunteers who helped prepare food, decorate, set up, serve, and support this event. Your time and generosity helped make this experience truly special for our students.
We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to the Pearson Educational Foundation, whose grant funding helped enrich this unit and make many of these memorable experiences possible.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this medieval adventure such a success.
