CHANGEMENTS AUX SENTIERS DU PETIT BOIS
L’Université Sainte-Anne et la Municipalité de Clare ont été informées de l’installation d’une clôture la semaine prochaine sur le terrain de l’Église Sainte-Marie par l’Archidiocèse d’Halifax-Yarmouth pour des raisons de sécurité publique. La clôture tracera un périmètre autour de l’église et va bloquer l’accès au sentier du Petit Bois qui longe le stationnement sur le côté sud de l'église. Elle va aussi affecter la circulation sur les sentiers derrière l’église et du côté nord-ouest de l’église mais ces sentiers seront redirigés pour passer à l’extérieur de la clôture.
Nous vous invitons à vous stationner ailleurs sur le campus et d’utiliser l’entrée qui demeurera ouverte près du terrain de tennis ou encore à découvrir les autres entrées du Petit Bois, notamment celles qui se trouvent dans le coin du stationnement de la banque RBC, derrière le Château ou à côté de la résidence Beaulieu.
L’Université Sainte-Anne et la Municipalité de Clare sont déçues et attristées par l’installation de cette clôture. Depuis sa construction entre 1903 et 1905 par 1 500 bénévoles acadiens catholiques de la région de Pointe-de-l’Église jusqu’à présent, l’Église Sainte-Marie a toujours été une source de fierté pour notre région. Nous nous joignons à la communauté pour exprimer notre profond chagrin à l’égard de son état actuel.

CHANGES IN THE PETIT BOIS TRAILS
Université Sainte-Anne and the Municipality of Clare have been informed that the Archdiocese of Halifax-Yarmouth will be installing a fence next week on the grounds of St. Mary's Church for public safety reasons. The fence will create a perimeter around the church and will block access to the Petit Bois trail that runs alongside the parking lot on the south side of the church. It will also interfere with the paths behind and on the northwest side of the church, but these trails will be redirected to pass outside the fence.
We invite you to park elsewhere on the campus and use the entrance that will remain open near the tennis court, or to discover the other entrances to the Petit Bois, like those in the corner of the RBC bank parking lot, behind the Château or next to the Beaulieu residence.
Université Sainte-Anne and the Municipality of Clare are disappointed and saddened by the installation of this fence. Since its construction between 1903 and 1905 by 1,500 Acadian Catholic volunteers from the Church Point area to the present day, St. Mary's Church has always been a source of pride for our region. We join the community in expressing our deep sorrow at its current state.
