Heartwood Equine Connections Heartwood Equine Connections is a Canadian Charitable organization whose purpose is to provide emotional healing for persons suffering from trauma.

We provide individual sessions and group workshops using horses as a therapeutic tool in the process. The participants who benefit from Heartwood’s programs and services include those who have had various forms of a traumatic experience with “trauma” being subjective to, and defined individually by, the person. These include:
abuse, neglect, deprivation, victims of violence, experiences of war, la

ck of community, family dysfunction, illness, accidents, life transitions, grief and loss, bullying, racism, sexual identity, and discrimination.
