Overfilled carts can cause damage to the collection truck and the carts.

Please ensure cart lid can be fully closed (not locked) for the morning of collection.
It is the responsibility of residents to cover the cost of replacing a damaged cart.

Tips for making room in your...
🍌Organics cart: cut branches (max branch size is 2 feet long by 2 inches diameter). Take excess rotten fruit and leaves to AV Sort'nGo Centre or West Coast for composting.
♻ Recycling cart: flatten cardboard AND drop off overflow at a recycling depot.
🗑 Garbage cart: sort out organics and recycling from garbage.

Mainroad crews will be installing a pedestrian railing on the westbound side of the Kitsuksis Bridge on Highway 4.

When: Friday, October 23
Time: 9 am to 3 pm

The westbound shoulder and sidewalk will be closed for the duration of the project.

Drivers are reminded to obey signs and traffic control personnel and watch for roadside workers. Please show respect for all roadside crews and slow down.

Single-lane traffic will be in effect on BC Highway 4 for the duration of the project, minor delays are expected.
