Hupačasath First Nation stands with the Alberni-Clayoquot Regional District Government (ACRD) and supports Chair John Jack’s statement on reconciliation.

Reconciliation requires meaningful action, ongoing learning, and respectful relationships. Cultural learning opportunities help build understanding of our histories, cultures, and perspectives, strengthening the relationships between First Nations and local governments.

We agree that investing in this work is an important part of serving our communities. Learning together and building trust benefits us all.

The Hupačasath office will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, September 30, for the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation / Orange Shirt Day.
We hope to see you at the walk or at the Athletic Hall as we come together to honour Survivors and remember the children who never made it home.

Effective at 1 PM today, the outdoor burning ban will be lifted. This means that residents and visitors will be able to enjoy campfires of a size no greater than .5m x .5m using clean dry fire wood. Please enjoy your long weekend fire safely.

Please note that the Hupačasath Administration Office will be closed on Friday and will also be closed on Monday, August 3, for B.C. Day.

The office will re-open on Tuesday, August 4.

Due to a recent loss in the Tseshaht community, Hupačasath, Tseshaht, and Huu-ay-aht First Nations will not be performing at the FIFA Live Watch Party taking place tomorrow, Friday, June 12th, at the Kinsmen Community Centre.

Thank you to everyone who attended the practices and supported this initiative. It has been wonderful to see so many people come together to sing, dance, and reconnect with one another. The turnout and enthusiasm have been truly heartwarming.

We hope to continue gathering and practicing again in the fall.

Please keep the family and communities in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
