Power outages can affect heat and air conditioning, hot water, running water, and phone service. When an emergency occurs, you should be prepared to cope without them for at least 72hrs.

The final design for the new Hanna Park Playground is here 🌳🛝

While there’s lots that’s new to discover, you’ll also find many of the qualities families have loved here for generations.

Timber towers and bridges. Connected play. Plenty of climbing and exploring. The things you told us matter have helped shape a playground designed for many more years of adventure, imagination and memories.

Join Mayor Peter Kelley and Corey Moore, Manager of Parks, Recreation & Facilities, as they share their own connections to Hanna Park and take you through the new design.

Before bringing the new playground to life, we’d love for you to join us at Hanna Park to celebrate this special place and explore this next chapter of play.

📅 Friday, September 11
🕓 4:00 p.m. (remarks & community photo at 4:45 p.m.)
📍 Hanna Park Playground

Bring the family, enjoy some time on the playground and connect with Corey on the new design and learn more about what’s ahead.

🪵 Existing family name pickets are an important part of the playground’s community-built history and will be carried forward into the new design. Families who would prefer to keep their plaque are welcome to contact the Township to arrange pickup.

🚧 Construction is scheduled to begin September 14, at which time the playground area will close until further notice. All other areas of Hanna Park will remain open.

These photos have us smiling all over again. 💙

Last week, we had the chance to bring volunteers from across Muskoka Lakes together for a night that was really about one thing: to say thank you.

Thank you for giving your time. Thank you for caring about the people and places around you. And thank you for the countless ways you help make Muskoka Lakes a great place to be.

📸 Here are a few of our favourite moments from that evening!
