MOONLIGHT FLICKS RESCHEDULED | Due to the possibility of inclement weather, tonight’s Moonlight Flicks event has been rescheduled.

The new date is Friday, September 25 at dusk.

We’ll also have a rain alternate location in the gym at the Vale Health & Wellness Centre if needed. Please keep an eye on our social media on the day of the event for updates if the weather is questionable and to confirm the event location.

🏢 Administrative Buildings
Municipal Offices will be closed on Monday, September 7. Officers will reopen on Tuesday, September 8 at 8:30 a.m.

📚 Port Colborne Public Library
The Port Colborne Public Library will be closed on Monday, September 7. Regular operating hours will resume on Tuesday, September 8.

👟 Vale Health & Wellness Centre
Open from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

🏋️ YMCA of Niagara

TOURISM ACCELERATOR GRANT | The City of Port Colborne’s Tourism Accelerator Grant (TAG) program is now accepting applications for its second intake.

Made possible by the Municipal Accommodation Tax, the TAG program has an annual allocation of $25,000 to invest in eligible projects. Limited funding remains available for this second intake.

Funding will be available for projects occurring between January 1, 2026, and December 31, 2026.

Applications for tourism events or festivals must be submitted at least 60 days prior to the start date, or by the application deadline — whichever comes first.

Completed applications are due by 5 p.m. on September 16, 2026.

SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING ⚠️ | Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the area.

A line of extremely dangerous thunderstorms is moving quickly eastward at approximately 100 km/h, with radar-estimated winds potentially reaching 150 km/h.

The storms may bring:
• Destructive wind gusts
• Loonie to ping pong ball-sized hail
• Heavy rainfall
• Potential tornadoes

These storms could cause significant damage to buildings, trees and utilities, as well as life-threatening injuries. Driving conditions may become extremely dangerous, and prolonged or widespread power outages are possible.

Residents are urged to take shelter immediately and remain indoors until the storm has passed. Stay away from windows and avoid unnecessary travel.

Continue to monitor Environment Canada for the latest warnings and updates.

Recently moved? Haven't voted in a while? Just want to be sure your information is up to date? Check your info today by e-mail to [email protected], by calling (905) 835-2900, or in person at City Hall (located at 66 Charlotte Street) between 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Changes to the Voters' List can be made until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 26, 2026.
