FIRE PREVENTION WEEK🔋 | It’s Fire Prevention Week, October 4–10!

This years theme is Charge Into Fire Safety™. Safe Charging Is a Superpower focusing on the everyday charging habits that can help reduce the risk of lithium-ion battery fires and keep homes and communities safer.

Stop using your device right away if the battery smells strange, iswarm to the touch, makes popping noises, changes in shape orcolor, or if you see smoke. If it is safe, move the device awayfrom anything that can catch fire. A damaged battery canoverheat and start a fire.

We are incredibly grateful to the Port Colborne Fire & Emergency Services for their generous $10,405 donation towards our New Accessible Playground Project!

This incredible contribution was raised through their annual Golf Tournament, and we are so thankful that they chose to support our vision of creating an inclusive playground where children of all abilities can play, explore, connect, and have fun together.
Your generosity is helping us bring this special project one step closer to becoming a reality! The new accessible playground will create a welcoming space where every child can experience the joy of play.

MEDIA RELEASE 🚒🛻 | The City of Port Colborne’s annual Open House: Touch-a-Truck & Fire Prevention Kick-Off returns Thursday, Oct. 8, inviting families to explore City vehicles and equipment, meet local firefighters and learn important fire safety tips.

Presented by Peters Construction Group, the free event runs from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Engineering and Operations Centre and Port Colborne Fire Hall.
