Reminder: You are invited to a Public Information Center on the Port Elgin Water Pollution Control Plant Upgrades Environmental Assessment (EA). This is an opportunity to learn more about the study and provide feedback.

📍 Rotary Hall - The Plex, 600 Tomlinson Dr.
📅 Tuesday, August 11 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

The goal of this study is to identify and assess solutions for managing peak wet weather flow received at the plant through the EA process.

There are many trails to explore by bike in Saugeen Shores with a wide variety of surface types.

It’s important to be aware of your comfort levels and ability when you are biking on different surfaces. Some surfaces, like cement or packed dirt, are easier to ride on. Some surfaces, like loose sand, are more challenging.

🎨 You may notice some colourful new additions around Town this summer!

Eight traffic control box murals by local artists have transformed essential safety equipment into unique works of community art. Inspired by community feedback and local experiences, the murals celebrate the landscapes, wildlife, landmarks, and cultural connections that define Saugeen Shores.

Thank you to artists Jeannette, Rowan, and Sloane, the BIAs, and Spruce the Bruce for bringing this project to life!

🚧 As construction season continues, the dust is beginning to settle on several road and infrastructure projects across the Town. 👉 Swipe through for updates on completed and ongoing projects.

While some projects may appear simple on the surface, such as new asphalt or sidewalks, many involve significant underground infrastructure upgrades, including watermain and sanitary sewer replacements, as well as improved drainage and infiltration systems. By completing these upgrades at the same time, we maximize value, improve long-term reliability, and help minimize future disruptions.

Thank you for your continued patience during this busy construction season. We understand construction can bring temporary inconveniences, but these investments deliver lasting benefits by improving safety, accessibility, infrastructure capacity, and the reliability of municipal services for years to come.
