If you haven't filled out your 2026 Census, it's not too late!

The Census helps provide an accurate picture of communities across Canada and supports decisions about services, infrastructure, housing, transportation, and more.

Thousands of census employees across the country are helping collect data that are vital to improving the lives of Canadians. These are your family, friends or neighbours making a difference for your community.

If you haven't completed your questionnaire yet and we follow up with you, here’s how to recognize official census communications:

πŸ“© Reminder letters will be sent by mail or delivered in person, which will contain a secure access code to complete the census questionnaire online.

πŸͺͺ In person follow-ups will be conducted by employees with an identification card.

πŸ“± Text message reminders may also be sent from the text message short code number 236732.

πŸ“ž If a follow-up phone call to a household is needed, the census employees will identify themselves clearly.

On National Indigenous Peoples Day, we recognize and celebrate the rich cultures, histories, and contributions of indigenous peoples across Canada. This day offers an opportunity to reflect on the enduring presence of Indigenous communities, and to appreciate the knowledge, traditions, and perspectives that continue to shape our country.

Today, the Town raises the Saugeen First Nation flag, where it will remain throughout the weekend. We encourage residents to take time over the coming days to reflect, learn, and celebrate Indigenous cultures and contributions in our community.
