🚧 Front Street Sidewalk Replacement – MacTier

Sidewalk replacement began yesterday, October 14, on Front Street.

Work will start on the south side, with block removal and base preparation this week. Concrete is scheduled for next week, weather permitting. Crews will then move to the Foodland/Home Hardware side.

All affected property owners have been notified, and every effort will be made to maintain access to properties throughout construction.

💡 Lights will be replaced at a later date once the new poles arrive.

Please use caution around the work area. Thank you for your patience as we improve Front Street!

Making moves in MacTier!

By now, all registered voters should have received their Voter Information Letter (VIL) to their mailing address. If you have not received your VIL, please reach out to the Township of Georgian Bay election team.

The Township has received many enquiries regarding VILs they have received for people who no longer live at their residence. This is common as people often don’t update their mailing address for the Voters’ List when they move.

If you receive a VIL that is not for you or someone in your household, please write Return to Sender on the envelope and drop it in the mailbox. Election staff use returned mail to make updates to the Voters’ List.

Opening mail not addressed to you is illegal, as is voting on behalf of someone else.
