Mayor Knox, joined by members of Council, was pleased to proclaim the month of September 2026 as Prostate Cancer Awareness Month in the City of Portage la Prairie.

Prostate cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among Canadian men. This month, we encourage everyone to learn about the signs and symptoms, understand their risk factors, and talk to their healthcare provider about screening options.

In support of Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, City Hall and the Island Park Causeway will be lit in blue from September 4th to 6th.
