Location: Pouce Coupe Library
Weekly Hours: 35 – 40hours
Schedule: Mon CLOSED Tues 9:00 am to 5:00 pm; Wed 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm; Thurs 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm; Fri 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm; Sat 9:00 am to 3:00 pm Schedules are subject to change as business needs and the demands required of the position.
Job Start Date: OPEN UNTIL FILLED
Min Wage: $26.00
Max Wage: $28.00
The Pouce Coupe Library is seeking applicants for a temporary full time Library Director position providing 35 -40hrs week

Overview:
Under the direction of the Library Board, the Library Director is responsible for identifying, planning, organizing, executing and evaluating an effective program of Library service to the community.
As well as providing outstanding customer support, and maintaining library operations. Candidates must have completed Grade 12 and possess excellent interpersonal skills. Flexibility to work Tuesday to Saturday.

DUTIES:
The successful applicant will perform a number of duties, including:
• Programming for Children, Teens & Adults
• Public service
• Circulation duties
• General reference, including basic computer instruction to public
• General correspondence and promotional material
• Other duties as assigned by board
• Produce and adhere to yearly budget, reports and meetings
• Weekly banking reconciliation
• Community events
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Previous experience in library is preferable
• Ability to perform work independently
• Must be able to shelve items accurately
• Must be able to push a trolley up to approx. 50lbs
• Strong oral and listening skills
• Must enjoy working within a team and with the public
• Be legally entitled to work in Canada
• Must be able to pass a Ministry and RCMP Criminal Record Check
