What a great day for an Easter Egg Hunt! Perhaps 50 Northside kids, and as many adults, dropped in for the Easter egg hunt and free hot dogs. Many thanks to Powell River First Aid Training for donating the candies and Easter eggs.

Announcing the Annual Northside Easter Egg Hunt. Join us again at Craig Park on Easter Sunday (April 5) at 12noon for a free Easter Egg Hunt for kids 10 years and younger, and free hot dogs for all. Open to Northside residents only. Easter Eggs were sponsored by Canadian Emergency Medical Services.

Northside Fire is offering a public Red Cross CPR/AED course on January 31st, 9am to about 2pm, at the Craig Park Fire Hall. The cost for Northside residents is $75.00 and the certificate is valid for 3 years. Text Ann at 604-208-8844 for more info or to register.

There was neither rain nor wind at Craig Park last night with the Northside Fire Department hosted their annual "Haunted Forest" Hallowe'en Party. Candy was available at each spooky trick-or-treat station in the woods, the bonfire was toasty warm, the hot dogs were free, and Northside's new firetruck was on display. Kids of all ages were invited to handle a hose and spray water.

Our annual Halloween Haunted Forest is happening again at Craig Park starting at 6:30 on October 31st. Spooky trick-or-treat stations, free hot dogs and drinks, bonfire, firetrucks, and more. All Northside kids are welcome. See you there!

Lots of confirmed chowders for this year's Chowder Challenge. Here's the list so far; Laughing Oyster, Boardwalk Restaurant, River City Coffee, Nancy's Bakery, Chopping Block, Rosemary Lane & Co, Convenient Chef, and Lund Community Society.

Buy your tickets in advance. There will be no ticket sales at the door :)

Tickets for the Annual Chowder Challenge are now on sale at qathet Tourism, the Stockpile Market, and Nancy's Bakery. Only $40 (cash) for chowders, salad, desserts, cash bar, and live music performed by firefighters.

The Chowder Challenge is being held at Northside's Lund Firehall on May 24th. Doors open at 5:30pm. Come vote for your favourite, locally-made chowder.

Northside kids, wear your costume and come to the Annual Haunted Forest at Craig Park on October 31st, 6:30pm to 8pm for trick-or-treats in the "haunted" forest. Have hot dogs and juice, see firetrucks, and and enjoy the bonfire. It's all free!
