The Powell Forest (qathet) Canoe Route is within the traditional territory of the Tla’amin, Sishalh and Klahoose Nations. It also falls within the Stillwater Forest Operation (SFO), TFL 39 Block1 Forest Management Area (Western Forest Products). Many groups have worked towards creating and maintaining the route (BOMB Squad, PRESS, WFP, Rec Sites & Trails BC, FPFCR Society). The area is cherished b
y those who have paddled the waters, walked through the forests and climbed the hills. This is also an outdoor classroom for all who seek to better understand ecological systems and our relationship to them. This page gives voice to the people and places along the route.
