After 50 years, the Frank J. Dunn Swimming Pool is closed.

A hub for swimming lessons, lifesaving training, and recreation for five decades, the "Dunn" is wrapping up its' last laps this week with swim club practices. 🏊‍♀️ Thousands of swimmers and hundreds of lifeguards have enjoyed the facility - it has led a great life. ❤

Register now for Bronze Medallion!

🛟 Interested in Becoming a Lifeguard? (Then you can work at the new Lake Country Co-op Leisure Centre opening this spring!) This is one of the first steps!

A Bronze Medallion Course will be offered at the Frank Dunn Pool the weekend of March 21st-23rd.

The Bronze Awards are prerequisites for the National Lifeguard Certification. The Lifesaving Society's Bronze Medallion challenges the candidate both mentally and physically. Judgement, knowledge, skill, and fitness - the four components of water rescue - form the basis of Bronze Medallion training. Candidates acquire the assessment and problem-solving skills needed to make good decisions in, on, and around the water.

▪️ Friday, March 21: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM
▪️ Saturday, March 22: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
▪️ Sunday, March 23: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
