The Saskatchewan Marshals Service (SMS) attended the Saskatchewan Association of Chiefs of Police (SACP) Spring Conference in Regina from May 12-14, 2026.

“The ability of the SACP to bring together policing leaders from across the province is one of its greatest strengths. These conversations create meaningful opportunities to address the public safety issues that matter most in our province,” said Chief Marshal Robert Cameron.

The SMS would like to thank the SACP and all attendees for a successful and engaging spring conference.

The Saskatchewan Marshals Service (SMS) is proud to support recent amendments to The Correctional Services Act, 2026 which strengthens oversight, modernizes disciplinary processes and enhances safety for staff and inmates. Through a new partnership, the SMS will begin working at the Prince Albert Correctional Centre, Pine Grove Correctional Centre and Prince Albert Youth Residence ensuring serious incidents involving offenders in custody are investigated thoroughly, safely and with clear accountability for criminal actions. This partnership will expand to additional correctional facilities over time and will help reduce the operational burden on already busy police services of jurisdiction, allowing them to focus more time and resources on responding to 911 emergencies and advancing proactive crime-reduction efforts.
