MN-S Western Region II engages in a variety of activities which benefit Metis people including:
- Facilitating and managing the Duty to Consult and Accomodate processes for developments on traditional Metis land.
- Engaging in the pursuit of Metis Community Economic Development opportunities through the newly formed WRII Economic Development Corporation.
- Providing advisory services to Metis entrepreneurs seeking grants, funding, and financing for their business opportunities.
- Keeping members informed of decisions made at the Provincial Metis Council (PMC) table.
- Distributing information from the MN-S head office and MN-S executive to Metis citizens within the region.
- Providing advisory and referral services to Metis citizens wishing to further their education or acquire education funding.
In addition to these activities, the area director and regional council members also hold seats on the following boards: Provincial Metis Council (PMC), Gabriel Dumont Institute (GDI), Metis Family and Community Justice, Prince Albert Community Housing, the Shore Gold Diamond Development Advisory Committee, and the Clarence Campeau Development Fund (CCDF).
