I was asked this week about the 2026 CUSMA Review and the possibility of the trade deal not being renewed. Here are my comments:

Today, the Liberals voted to kill Bill C-232, legislation introduced by my CPC colleague Tony Baldinelli. The legislation would have prevented Canada’s most notorious killers from being housed in minimum-security institutions.

As a result, offenders like Paul Bernardo can continue to enjoy the privileges of minimum-security incarceration.

Justice should put victims and their families first. Instead, the Liberals chose to side with a system that prioritizes the comfort of convicted murderers over the concerns of victims’ families.
