PROPERTY USE AGREEMENT
Hixon Recreational Park Property

The Regional District of Fraser-Fort George intends to enter into a five-year property use agreement with Hixon Community Association for Hixon Recreational Park Property and improvements located on the subject property for community recreational purposes. The property is legally described as Lot 2, District Lot 8543, Cariboo District Plan PGP43101. It is located beside Hixon Community Hall in Hixon, BC, but does not include the community hall.

In consideration of the entitlements given, the Regional District will receive a nominal sum of $1 for the term of the agreement.

The Regional District of Fraser-Fort George's office at 155 George Street will be closed to public walk-in traffic from Monday August 24 to Wednesday August 26 for construction at the building entrance.

During this temporary closure, residents can still attend previously scheduled meetings at the building. All Regional District services will also remain available online or by phone at 250-960-4400, including access to materials like 2026 General Local Election nomination documents.

Election Workers

Looking for a meaningful way to be involved in your community? Join the Regional District’s General Local Election team for advance voting on Wednesday October 7 and general voting on Saturday October 17.

You will be part of a team ensuring a smooth and accessible voting process. Professionalism is required and you must be comfortable working with the public while following election procedures and maintaining confidentiality. You must also attend a training session, and be able to travel throughout the region and work for an extended period of time. Compensation includes an hourly wage, paid training time and mileage.

The application deadline is August 25, 2026.
