The Carrier Sekani Tribal Council (CSTC) is accepting submissions from Carrier Sekani communities.

We welcome all kinds of stories—traditional, historical, personal, fantasy, action, humorous, and more. Whether your story is lighthearted or serious, we'd love to hear it.

Stories may be written or shared orally. Selected submissions will be published in the CSTC Story Time Book, and copyright support will be provided to authors.

CSTC is excited to launch a new storytelling project, funded by the FPCC Cultural Practices Grant.

We’d love for you to be part of it! If you have a story you’d like to share with the community, we invite you to join us and share your voice.

All stories will be heard, few stories will be printed. If chosen- we will assist you with getting your story copy righted in your name. Then we will ask your permission to place the story in our Anthology booklet.

If you have any questions or would like to learn more, feel free to reach out at [email protected] or [email protected]

We have a request for the community... help us NAME the '100 Year Celebration' sturgeon that will be released during this year's Juvenile Sturgeon Release Event.

This sturgeon is to mark the 100 years since the incorporation of Vanderhoof (and 100 is also how long a Nechako white sturgeon can live to). The sturgeon picked for release is a leucistic sturgeon - meaning it has partial loss of all types of pigmentation, making it lighter and easily distinctive.

Submit your sturgeon name ideas on this online form: https://forms.gle/Biey9pXtiDpCqJKB7

Also - to release this sturgeon, we ask that SENIORS and ELDERS from the area come to the Juvenile Sturgeon Release event for June 5 @ 12pm(noon) to release the sturgeon together!
