It's been an incredible summer, and we've been reminded once again that community is at the heart of everything we do. 💕

From visiting local organizations like the Central BC Railway & Forestry Museum and the Downtown Prince George Business Improvement Association, to joining community celebrations like 2nd Annual BBQ for Parkinson PG, we’ve loved connecting with the people and organizations helping make our community stronger.

Thank you to our donors, volunteers, community partners, and everyone who believes in the power of community. We couldn’t do this work without you.

Earlier this summer, we had the opportunity to meet with Riley Skinner from the 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 & 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗕𝗖 to learn more about the incredible work they do in our community.

With support from a 2024 Spring Grant from the Prince George Community Foundation, the Centre was able to expand its community education programming, delivering su***de prevention workshops and outreach to students in Grades 5–12. Their programs help youth build the skills to support themselves and their peers, while creating su***de-safer communities.

We're proud to support organizations that make such a meaningful impact in our community. 💙

Earlier this summer, we were delighted to present the team at Two Rivers Gallery with a cheque for their 2026 General Support Grant! 🎉

With help from a multi-year grant from the Prince George Community Foundation, Two Rivers Gallery is bringing 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗔𝗿𝘁 𝗗𝗮𝘆𝘀: 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 to life—reimagining its long-standing program by bringing artists and creative experiences into community events across Prince George and the Regional District.

Through partnerships with local and regional organizations and artist residencies, the project is creating opportunities for people of all ages to explore art, connect with one another, and experience the vibrant arts and culture our region has to offer.

We’re honoured to steward the Dr. Amanda Asay Memorial Award and help carry forward Amanda’s incredible legacy. 💙

We are honoured to announce a $10,000 donation from Bennett Family Real Estate to the Dr. Amanda Asay Memorial Award, held by the Prince George Community Foundation. PG Community Foundation

Amanda was a lifelong athlete and proud member of Canada’s Women’s National Baseball Team, who tragically lost her life in a skiing accident in the Kootenays. Born and raised in Prince George, Amanda chose Nelson to be her home before her sudden passing in 2022. Her incredible accomplishments, including five World Cup medals and a historic Pan Am Games silver, left an enduring legacy. She is dearly missed by family, friends and teammates.

The Dr. Amanda Asay Memorial award supports two graduating students annually (in both the Prince George School District 57 and Nelson School District 8 ), honouring Amanda’s memory by investing in the next generation of athletes. Thank you to Chuck and Karen Bennett for their generous contribution to the fund, helping to keep Amanda's legacy alive.
