Youth Services hosted the We are Fierce culture camp for girls, and it was an unforgettable few days filled with bonding moments, learning, and fun. Together, they learnt how to make bat boxes, medicine bags, and beaded creations. They also had other amazing activities like yoga sessions, swimming, and painting their own drums.

Thank you to everyone who made this camp special. Mussi Cho to Hereditary Chiefs, Knowledge Holders, and Elders Maureen Thomas, Helen Michelle, and Sabrina Wright for sharing stories, traditions, and rites of passage with the youth.

The mural at 611 Brunswick St. is nearly complete, with just a few final touches being added. Carrier Sekani Family Services is proud to have commissioned this work by Raven-Tacuara, whose talent, creativity, and commitment to culture shine through every detail of the mural.
This vibrant addition to downtown Prince George complements the Brunswick Housing Project, bringing together culture and accessible housing for Indigenous individuals and families experiencing housing insecurity. By reducing barriers to safe and affordable housing, the project helps create pathways to stability, healing, and long-term well-being, supporting people where they are and helping them thrive.
The mural serves as a powerful reminder that housing is more than a building, it is a place where culture, identity, and community can flourish. Be sure to stop by and take a look at this beautiful new landmark as it becomes part of the downtown landscape.
