📢 School Community Notice – Fill the Truck Fundraiser Update

Unfortunately, due to the recent fire at the Nechako Bottle Depot last weekend, we will need to postpone our Fill the Truck Fundraiser.

At this time, the PG Recycling Centre is working hard to increase their capacity to handle the extra volume of recyclables being rerouted from Nechako. Once they are ready to accommodate large fundraiser drop-offs, we will reschedule our event and share the new dates with families.

We appreciate your support and patience, and we look forward to continuing our efforts to raise funds for the Indigenous drum project once recycling services have stabilized.

The program is organized by our Grade 7 classes as part of Career Planning, with proceeds going towards end-of-year activities and classroom projects.

Our school garden is looking its best! A student pulled a carrot yesterday that was huge! Ms. Westlund’s petunias are out of control beautiful! The tomatoes have lots of flowers to hopefully produce more fruit in time for fall. The dill is so fragrant, and the brussels sprouts are beginning to form. We hope you’ve enjoyed the garden over the summer, and we’re looking forward to harvesting the remainder of the crops in the fall with students. We will also be collecting seeds to save for our seed library to share again in the spring. Thank you to our wonderful family volunteers who have been watering and taking care of the garden all summer.
