Job Readiness Program in Vanderhoof

Looking to build your skills and feel more confident entering the workforce? The Job Readiness Program at CNC Vanderhoof is a no-cost, 7-week program designed to help participants prepare for employment.

Participants will build skills in communication, teamwork, time management, digital and money skills, resume and cover letter writing, and job interviews. The program also includes career exploration, health and wellness activities, Indigenous cultural awareness and opportunities to earn workplace certifications.

📅 September 21 – November 6, 2026
🕘 Monday to Friday | 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
📍 CNC Vanderhoof Campus
💰 Training allowance available based on attendance
🍽️ Lunch provided

Eligibility: Indigenous individuals living on reserve, ages 18–64, who are receiving on-reserve income assistance.

Registration is recommended by Friday, September 11, 2026.

📣 Women’s Night Update

Please be advised that Women’s Night in Takla will be paused for the remainder of August due to low attendance.

We’ll take a short break and plan to resume Women’s Night in September. 💗

🌲 Sustutdene Gathering 2026 – Agenda 🌲

The agenda is here! Takla Nation members and families are invited to join us at Moose Valley Camp from August 24–28 for five days of gathering on the land, sharing knowledge, culture and time together. ❤️

Throughout the week, there will be:
🎣 Fishing & fish processing
🌿 Lands & stewardship presentations
🔥 Campfire gatherings & storytelling
🪶 Traditional land-based activities
🎶 Cultural sharing, singing & a talent show
🐴 Family activities & horseshoes
🍽️ Community feast
