Join the hall! Our member meetings are every Tuesday at 6:45pm. We have one engine, two tenders, and one squad vehicle.

The Pilot Mountain Volunteer Fire Department serves the Pilot Mountain community by training for and responding to emergency calls for firefighting, medical aid, and highway rescues. We provide public safety information and maintain firefighting and rescue vehicles, and equipment. The volunteers that serve at this hall are regular people that are committed to contributing to the safety of their co

mmunity by giving their time to train for and respond to emergencies. We work with the other volunteer fire halls that serve regional districts outside of Prince George city limits as well as with the RCMP, the BC Ambulance Service, and the FOCC (Fire Operations Communications Centre). The Pilot Mountain Volunteer Fire Department responded to its first call in 1996. The hall also serves as a recreational facility for community events which is run by the Recreation Commission. Regular training for volunteers takes place on Tuesdays from 7pm – 9pm, and new volunteers are always welcome.

30 years of the Pilot Mountain Volunteer Fire Department deserves a celebration! 🚒❤️

On October 3rd from 5-8pm, we’re hosting a special Recognition Evening to celebrate the members who have helped make PMVFD what it is today.

This evening is for past and current members only. We’ve reached out by email to as many members as we could track down, but we know some contact information may be out of date.

If you’re a past member and haven’t heard from us, or you know someone who should be there, please send us a message! We want to make sure no one is missed.

Wildfire Protection Kits available for the general public 🤩

Pilot Mountain Volunteer Fire Department is selling Wildfire Protection Kits to help reduce risk to your home during wildfire events. These are now available to anyone who wants to purchase one.

Each kit includes:
➡️2 gutter mount sprinkler brackets
➡️2 agricultural-grade sprinkler heads
➡️2 fence/fascia mounts
➡️2 sets of fire department grade lay-flat hose

Each kit is $170, either:
1️⃣Exact cash only (no change will be provided)
OR
2️⃣Cheques payable to the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George

Effective at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday May 28, 2026 Category 2 and Category 3 open burning and other associated activities will be permitted in the Prince George Forest District (Prince George and Robson Valley Fire Zones).

A Category 2 and Category 3 open fire prohibition remains in effect in the Stuart Nechako Forest District (Vanderhoof/Fort St James Fire Zone). The following activities and equipment are also prohibited in this zone:
• binary exploding targets
• fireworks
• burn barrels or burn cages
• controlled air incinerators
• air curtain burners and carbonizers
