From May 11th to May 27th we have seen quite a few changes on the map. So far Southern Saskatchewan is still dangerously in the red zone, this is just a heads up and a reminder to stay safe out there, whatever you're doing, And if you're doing any physical activity, remember to stay hydrated on top of the danger, this weather poses for fire conditions. It also poses a danger to our own health. Just keep water on you and stay safe.

To help you stay informed, we are posting this map to show how dry the conditions currently are, despite the rain that we have had over the last couple days, it has not been sufficient enough to make any severe changes to this map, Conditions are still risky for fires if you are burning anything please keep water nearby or keep a hose ready just in case, It doesn't take much in these conditions for an Amber from a pit to start an uncontrolled fire, as always, try and stay safe out there.

We are happy to say that throughout the weekend four of our members went through The SCBA training And all four of our members passed and were certified, for those who may be unaware, scba stands for self-contained breathing apparatus. They are the tanks we carry on our backs, two of our members went through the course for a refreshment. The other two went through it for the first time. Q.F.D. along with Balgonie fire rescue White city fire rescue Kronau fire rescue and the R.M. of Edenwold all attended the training. It was a fantastic experience that helped with the building of teamship as well as camaraderie. Amongst the attending fire halls. We would also like to give a big thanks to Balgonie fire and rescue for hosting the event they handled everything with the utmost professionalism it made us all feel very welcomed. And a final Congratulations to Neil Cameron, Bob Schaeffer, Jackie Fretz, and Alex Fries, for obtaining their certificates.
