Due to warmer temperatures and a decrease in precipitation, the district is postponing water main flushing until the fall. In addition - effective immediately, level two water restrictions are now in place. Thank you for your continued cooperation.

Dear Ratepayer,
As part of our regular system maintenance, the Qualicum Bay – Horne Lake Waterworks District will be conducting water main flushing from Monday May 4th to Friday May 8th.
If you experience water discolouration during this time, please flush your line using an OUTSIDE tap, if possible, until your water runs clear. It is recommended to avoid laundering whites during this time.

THE PURPOSE OF THIS MEETING IS TO ELECT
THREE TRUSTEES FOR THREE YEAR TERMS ENDING 2029
ONE TRUSTEE FOR A ONE YEAR TERM ENDING IN 2027
TO DISCUSS WORKS COMPLETED IN 2025

Voter Eligibility
• Canadian citizen, 18 years of age or older and entitled to be registered as voter under the Provincial Elections Act
• Owner of land in the Qualicum Bay Horne Lake Water District
Landowners must be present at the meeting in order to vote.

*Nominations will no longer be accepted at the AGM.
If you would like to be a trustee of the water district you must fill out a nomination form and submit it to the water office, no later than
April 9, 2026.

There was a car accident last night on Shaw Hill which took out a hydrant. This caused some discolouration of the water and we are now flushing the system. Thanks for your patience.
