What a way to end our 2025-2026 improv season! Thanks to everyone who showed up for our Quebec Improv Games last Wednesday! It was an amazing night full of laughter and high energy. Thanks to all who purchased tickets and the curious who wanted to know what was in the box, we raised $730 for our upcoming trip to France in 2027!!!
A VERY special THANK YOU to our guests from all over the city who rose to the challenge of performing in their second language AND playing in a new format for the first time. It was truly magical to see this in action. Who knows, this might become a new tradition!

QHS proudly congratulates Secondary 3 student Emmy Sheridan on her nomination as "Bénévole de l'année" in her community. Emmy is a caring young leader who consistently exemplifies selflessness, reliability, and generosity both within our school and beyond. We are very fortunate to have her at QHS, where she regularly volunteers her time and talents as a Student Prospector and for the QHS Leadership Program.

À peine âgée de 15 ans, Emmy Sheridan illumine sa communauté. Elle ne s’implique pas simplement pour aider : elle s’investit avec cœur, constance et avec une...

QHS student, Xavier Brousseau has been Canadian karting champion in the SWS class for 2 consecutive years. Last year, he represented Canada on the Campillos circuit in Spain. This year, he took part in the international final of the Sodi World Series (SWS) 2026 at the legendary 24-hour karting circuit in Le Mans, France! This event brought together around 500 of the world's best kart drivers!!!

Xavier placed 16 in the world!

All the QHS family are proud of you Xavier.

Three days of setup.
Hundreds of student artworks.
An incredible community effort.

The DARE Art Exhibit is almost ready.

Setup by the numbers:

• Day 1 — 4 people, 8 hours
• Day 2 — 3 people, 8 hours
• Day 3 — 2 people, 8 hours

And after the exhibit closes, another half day for takedown.

Events like this do not happen magically. They happen because many people quietly give their time, energy, creativity, expertise, and support behind the scenes.

A preliminary thank you to the Ville de Québec for lending us the beautiful space at the Centre d’interprétation historique de Sainte-Foy, along with specialized equipment, museum technicians, and staff support throughout the installation process.

A sincere thank you as well to Ms. Paula Breton and Ms. Joanne Arsenault for continuing to support the arts at QHS and helping this multidisciplinary project grow stronger each year.

Thank you to QHS administration for supporting the exhibit financially, including the opening night reception, food and drinks for guests, and the time and resources needed to make a project of this scale possible.

Thank you as well to the many teachers contributing work from their classes and helping make this a truly multidisciplinary exhibit — including visual arts, ceramics, digital art, photography, entrepreneurship, and math-inspired creative projects.

A special thank you as well to Mr. Domonkos and Mr. Rompré for organizing live music for opening night, and to Mr. Buick, who will be photographing the evening.

Every year, we wonder if we will have enough artwork to fill the space.

And every year, our students completely amaze us.

This year, the exhibit is absolutely full — wall to wall with drawings, paintings, photography, ceramics, mixed media, design projects, and creative risks taken by students across multiple programs and grade levels.

Most of all, thank you to the students. Your creativity, courage, experimentation, and hard work are what fill these walls.

Opening night is tomorrow from 6:00–8:00 p.m. If you miss the opening night, the exhibit will also be open to the public from Friday to Sunday from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm each day.

We can’t wait to welcome the community.

Behind the scenes this week as we prepare for the 4th annual DARE Art Exhibit at the Centre d’interprétation historique de Sainte-Foy!

There is artwork everywhere, ladders, labels, careful placement, and the kind of creative chaos that happens before something special comes together.

Our students have spent months creating, experimenting, revising, and taking risks. We’re excited to celebrate their work with families, staff, and the community.

Join us for opening night:

📅 May 28
🕕 6:00–8:00 p.m.
🎶 Music • Refreshments • Free admission

The exhibit will remain open through the weekend. A huge thank you to staff hired by the Ville de Quebec to help us make this happen!

We’ll keep a few surprises for visitors. 😊

Still smiling thinking about our British Columbia–Québec exchange! 🇨🇦✨ Big thank you to Ms. Gauvin and Ms. Roy for making this possible!

A few weeks ago, we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming students from Chilliwack, B.C. to QHS. Together, they explored our beautiful city, shared laughs, tried new experiences, and built friendships that will last far beyond this exchange.

Our students are grateful for the memories made, the connections formed, and the energy these students brought with them. Until next time! 💙
