This is a friendly reminder that visitors are no longer advised to drive on any beaches in Haida Gwaii.

This policy is in place to help protect public safety, wildlife, and the natural environment, while reducing risks associated with driving on beaches.

Sharing an exciting message from the Ministry of Forests crew on Haida Gwaii:

Rennell Sound Forest Service Road is now fully open to traffic. The project is complete, with all eight stream crossings successfully replaced and the landslide cleared, restoring full access along the road.

This was a significant undertaking that was completed ahead of schedule thanks to the outstanding work and collaboration of everyone involved.

The Daajing Giids Visitor Information Centre is currently seeking additional Haida-carved jewelry to feature in our gift shop. Our inventory is running low, and we would love to expand our selection to offer visitors and customers a wider variety of locally crafted pieces.

At this time, we are particularly interested in:
