Islands Wellness Society The Islands Wellness Society (IWS) is an inclusive community-based agency that provides a variety of services in a safe and supportive environment.

We are located on the unceded, traditional and title lands of the Haida Nation. The Islands Wellness Society is an inclusive community based agency, which provides a variety of services in a safe and supportive environment for the women, children, and families of Haida Gwaii. These services endeavour to promote empowerment, overcome trauma, address violence against women, and provide resources for the wellbeing of our communities (2009).

Reminder to apply for Bonnie's IWS Bursary before this Friday, August 15th! We will do a random draw for the winner on Tuesday, August 18th. Only the winner will be contacted - if you do not hear from IWS on Tuesday it likely means you unfortunately not selected for the bursary. Haawa to everyone who has taken the time so far to apply, we appreciate hearing all the about all the amazing learners in our communities.

In honour of Bonnie Olson and her many years of commitment to IWS, we offer the Bonnie's Islands Wellness Society Bursary for students studying in the fields of Arts, ECE, Counselling, Social Work, Justice or Law. 👑🐝
The 2026 Bonnie's IWS Bursary is now open for applications. A big haawa to Nicole Husby for her generous donation to Islands Wellness Society, which allowed us to continue with the bursary this year.
