GwaiiTel GwaiiTel operates the Haida Gwaii Community Network, connecting the seven largest communities of Haida Gwaii to broadband Internet.

GwaiiTel Society is a non-profit Internet society that supplies broadband to the islands of Haida Gwaii. GwaiiTel brings Internet from the mainland to the islands and into communities. Local Internet Service Providers then provide services directly to homes and businesses. The GwaiiTel Society is run by a dedicated Board of Directors. They are Carol Kulesha (Board Chair), Sam Hall, Evan Puterill,

Clyde Greenough and Judson Brown. The GwaiiTel Society is incorporated under the BC Societies Act and registered with the CRTC as a “non-dominant carrier” (telecommunications/phone company). It is jointly owned and operated by its members:

Old Massett Village Band Council (First Nation)
Village of Port Clements (incorporated)
Skeena-Queen Charlotte Regional District Area D
Skidegate Band Council (First Nation)
Village of Queen Charlotte (incorporated)
Community of Sandspit (Skeena-Queen Charlotte Regional District Area E / Moresby Island Management Committee)
