A new green space behind the Victoria Sports Park beach volleyball courts is taking shape, with the space expected to be ready in late spring or early summer 2027.

Work is already underway, with irrigation complete and tree planting and grass seeding planned for the coming weeks.

We’re looking forward to seeing this space develop and become another place for our community to enjoy.

The Town will begin w**d control work at Victoria Sports Park and other public parks on Thursday, August 27, weather permitting. The work will continue over the next three weeks.

Please watch for posted signage in these areas and stay away from application areas while work is underway. If an area is posted, please stay off for 48 hours.

We’re hiring!

The Town is urgently hiring three full-time seasonal labourer positions to join our team for the season.

Are you organized, energetic, reliable, and willing to roll up your sleeves and get to work? We’d love to hear from you. In this role, you’ll help maintain parks, sports fields, trails, and other community spaces, while supporting landscaping, irrigation, and event setup.

If you’re looking for an opportunity to work outdoors, support your community, and be part of a hands-on team, we’d love to hear from you.

The pool will be open through Monday, Aug. 31, with regular hours:
Sunday: 12:30 - 4:30 p.m.
Monday - Saturday: 12:30 - 7 p.m.

Make the most of the final week and join us for two end-of-season events:
Pool Coin Toss
Tuesday, Aug. 25 | 6 p.m.
Regular pool admission applies. No registration required.

Homemade Boat Race
Wednesday, Aug. 26 | 6 p.m.

Dog owners, get ready!

A new dog park is coming to Raymond. The park space along Highway 52, east of the hospital, will become the future home of the Town’s first dedicated, fenced dog park.

Construction on Phase 1 is planned to begin in 2027, with additional improvements added in the years ahead.

With the new dog park and skate ramp coming to the area, we’re looking for a name for the park space that reflects our community.

Build your own one-person homemade boat and join us for the 3rd Annual Homemade Boat Race at the Raymond Aquatic Centre on Wednesday, August 26, at 6 p.m.

Your boat must be homemade and cannot include materials from a boat or other watercraft. No metal, motors, or floaties are allowed.

⏰ 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. each day

Participants must have current first aid certification before taking either bronze-level course.
