September 30th is also Orange Shirt Day! We encourage everyone to wear orange to honour the thousands of Survivors of residential schools.

Our office will be CLOSED to the public for the week of June 24th to June 28th, 2024, while we move to our new location.

To recognize the history and ongoing legacy of residential schools, the Red Deer Housing Authority has decided to close its operations on September 30, National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. We encourage our staff and clients/tenants to honour survivors, their families, and communities by reflecting on the history and ongoing legacy of the residential school system and all of those affected by these tragedies. We, as an organization, will continue to engage in education and to reflect on how we may support reconciliation efforts with residential school survivors.
