One of our Interpreters spotted a wild counterpart of Soup and Noodle in the open — a risky place to be for a small snake! 🐍

In the open, plains garter snakes are easy for hawks and other predators to spot. That's one reason why native shrubs and bushes like red-osier dogwood and wild roses are lifesavers for young animals of all kinds!

To learn more about plains garter snakes, and meet Soup and Noodle, drop by our June 27 Meet the Creature program.
