Pines Alternative School Pines Alternative School is an alternative to the conventional high school environment.

Pines Alternative School is meant to support many students for many reasons. Ultimately, our school provides a flexibility that no traditional school can afford to provide. That means a student can be very busy with sports competitions, part-time work, medical programs, moving mid-year, need an extra course, unable to attend everyday or any day or be involved in other pursuits that will make them unsuccessful if they don't have flexibility.

What an incredible experience for our Drawing 15 students this quarter! 🎨

We had the opportunity to visit RDP, where students toured a variety of studio spaces and explored the inspiring Fine Arts program. They also got a firsthand look at what post-secondary art education can offer!

One of the highlights was participating in a drawing class, followed by a thoughtful and engaging art critique alongside second year art students. It was such a valuable experience to learn, create, and connect with fellow artists.

A huge thank you to the RDP team and students for welcoming us—we left feeling inspired and excited about what’s possible in the world of art and post-secondary! ✨
