1390 Drill Team has been working hard for the last 10 weeks for both the Army Cadet League of Alberta Zone Competition (Wynnyck Cup) where they placed 1st in our zone, and now 2nd in the Provincial Army Cadet Competition (Kozar Cup). They improved so much and performed wonderfully in such a short time, and we can't wait to see what they do next year.
Excellent job to all.

For the first time ever the Central Alberta Cadet Tri-Service pipe and drum band competed professionally and won first place in their Class at the Red Deer Festival of Performing Arts.
This was no small feat, it took many hours of practice and rehearsals from each and every Cadet on stage. It took parents and guardians driving them to and from those rehearsals and listening to the practices at home. Adult staff and volunteers spent countless hours gathering, supervising, outfitting, instructing, counseling, and preparing.

Today after our Vimy Day Commemoration Parade, Cadets from 1390 RCACC got the opportunity to get hands on with the members and equipment of 20th Field Artillery Regiment and 41 Signal Regiment (2 Squadron). Cadets learned about radio equipment, GPS systems, the FORCE Fitness Test, Regimental History, Artillery Guns, and small arms weapons. Senior Cadets also had the opportunity to use the Small Arms Trainer and talk to a recruiter. Cadets Canada .nw.no

Last night was a last night for one of our cadets. It was the last night that he will put on his FTU's and stand in front of his fellow cadets. We said goodbye to our RSM, CWO Fawcett, as he is about to begin his journey to the Canadian Armed Forces.
From all the Staff, Cadets, and families that have known and benefited from your leadership, we wish you the best, and hope to follow your journey.

Last evening members of 1390 spent the night learning and trying out different aspects of Indigenous Culture to Honour Truth and Reconciliation Day. Cadets were split into groups and built and decorated mini Teepees, made and tried Bannock, learned traditional songs, and learned about and participated in a smudge.
