Central Alberta UCP Constituencies hosted another hugely successful Leader's Dinner at the Westerner Park in Red Deer with over 1000 in attendance. Our very own MLA and Minister Adriana LaGrange introduced the Premier and then joined her and other local MLAs in a Q/A with the crowd. Thank you to the organizers and everyone, especially those members of the Red Deer North UCP constituency, who came out to support the event and to join in the conversations. We are stronger together!

International Women's Day was introduced in 1913 as a time to recognize and celebrate the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women and girls. Today it is an opportunity to reflect on how far women have come, not just in the work force, but as women in general, and yet how much there is to overcome.

Challenges of that time were systemic inequality, voting rights, economic independence and personal safety and yes, some of those things still sound familiar. Thanks to Hon Adriana LaGrange and to Mayor Cindy Jefferies (whom I apologise, I didn't get a picture) for joining other women from the community to share their experiences and also their courage in the world of politics.
