After the Bell helps provide nutritious food packs to children during the summer months when school meal and snack programs aren’t available. These food packs help ensure kids have access to healthy food while school is out. 🌱

Our Brisket Boys smoker has been one of our busiest trucks so far this year. Yesterday at Apex we had a full spread with brisket, hamburgers, chicken, and smokies. If you’re interested in booking our smoker for on event you can visit our website, call or email us!

All the money that comes in from our food trucks helps support the work of the Red Deer Food Bank.

A massive thank you to RSM canada for donating this fantastic prize for our upcoming 2nd annual One Swing for Three Causes tournament. 💙

This event isn’t only about golf, it’s about coming together to support three local causes that make a real difference. 🌱✨

The One Swing for Three Causes was started by a group of volunteers known as the Central Alberta Breakfast Club. They were rejuvenated following the previous committee members no longer running events. 🫶🏼

The charities benefiting from the CABC includes Bridges Community Living, Red Deer Food Bank, Youth HQ, and The Outreach Centre. 💙✨

🌱 Volunteers Needed – Help Us Grow More Food for Our Community! 🌱

We are looking for volunteers to join our Food Production and Garden Team this summer!

Volunteer opportunities include:

🌿 Garden & Crop Maintenance
• Weeding, watering, pruning, transplanting, and general garden care

🌱 Seeding & Plant Production
• Filling trays, sowing seeds, labelling, and transplanting seedlings

🥕 Harvesting & Produce Handling
• Harvesting fresh produce, weighing products, and preparing vegetables and greens for distribution

🌻 Community Garden Support
• Planting, watering, seasonal cleanup, and helping maintain shared growing spaces

Whether you have years of gardening experience or are simply willing to learn, we'd love to have you join us. Every hour volunteered helps us grow more fresh food for local families.

Our second 'Ukrainian Roots' cooking class is open for registration! What's on the menu?

Begin with a seasonal favourite — strawberry varenyky — delicate dumplings that celebrate the start of summer, served with candied beets, tvorog (farmer’s cheese), and fresh mint. Students will then take full part in preparing the classic chicken Kyiv, where tender chicken breast is wrapped around herb butter, lightly breaded, and cooked to a perfect golden brown. Served alongside is a traditional vinaigrette potato salad. To finish, each guest will take home a slice of creamy tvorog cheesecake to enjoy later.
