Changing the stored materials or even the pallet type (i.e. a change to plastic pallets) can reduce the effectiveness of your fire sprinkler system. In addition, certain materials may not be permitted in certain warehouses due to zoning restrictions.

The buildings fire safety plan is required to provide information on what materials are permitted, their storage configurations and information on the sprinkler system design, as well as other information.
