More than 35 deputy ministers and Crown leaders. Saskatchewan business leaders. One room. 🙌

Last night’s Deputy Minister Dinner featured a fireside chat led by Raynelle Wilson, Deputy Minister to the Premier, and our CEO Prabha Ramaswamy, with deputy ministers from across government weighing in.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, and to our Presenting Sponsor, CN, and Supporting Sponsor, PearTree, for making it possible.

A room full of luminaries. ✨

Last Saturday, more than 550 guests gathered for the 2026 ABEX Awards, including 42 finalists, 12 recipients, and 4 special award honourees from across Saskatchewan. The theme was 'Luminary - for those who light the way' and the room lived up to it.

For more than 40 years, ABEX has recognized the businesses and leaders who show others what's possible in this province. Seeing so many of them together, from family businesses to national organizations to young entrepreneurs with brand-new companies, is what makes the night.

A big thank you to our emcees Greg McIntyre and Sabeen Ahmad for guiding the evening with such great energy. Thank you also to our finalists, our guests, and all of our 2026 sponsors. 💛

Swipe for a few of our favourite moments. 📸

Today, on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day, we remember the children who never returned home from residential schools and honour the survivors and their families.

Reconciliation begins with learning the truth of this history. Events are taking place in communities across Saskatchewan today, and we encourage everyone, including Saskatchewan businesses and their teams, to take part, listen, and learn.

Your next customer, supplier, or partner might be in Winnipeg. 💼

This fall, the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce is taking Saskatchewan businesses to Manitoba for meetings with Manitoba companies, and we're still looking for businesses to join. It's open to any Saskatchewan business. You don't need to be a Chamber member.

Two missions to choose from:
1️⃣Oct. 25-28, alongside the World Indigenous Business Gathering
2️⃣Nov. 9-11, alongside ADVANCE Manitoba

You show up ready to talk business. We handle the logistics, help with market access, and follow up after. Fees vary by mission.

Submit your expression of interest by October 13, 2026. More missions to additional locations and provinces are planned through 2028.

“Saskatchewan businesses compete globally, and they need reliable trade corridors, efficient approvals, and stable labour relations to get products to market.”

The Western Business Coalition was in Ottawa this week as the federal government introduced Bill C-39, the Building Canada Strong Act.

The legislation advances several priorities the WBC has been advocating for, including a one-year timeline for federal project reviews and decisions, as well as measures to support greater stability across federally regulated supply chains.

WBC leaders also met with federal Ministers, officials, business leaders, and 25 Western Canadian MPs to continue advancing Western Canada’s priorities around competitiveness, investment, regulatory reform, trade, and economic immigration.

Thank you to our Western Business Coalition partners and everyone who took the time to meet with us in Ottawa. You can learn more about the Coalition at saskchamber.com.

A few days in Prince Albert, plenty of great conversations, and a lot of Chamber connection. 🙌

Last week, members of the Saskatchewan Chamber team joined Chamber colleagues from across the province for the annual Chamber of Commerce Executives of Saskatchewan (CCES) Summit, hosted this year in Prince Albert.

Between professional development sessions and catching up with colleagues, we had the chance to get out and experience more of Prince Albert, including visits to local businesses, community projects and the city’s downtown.

One of the best parts of CCES is the opportunity to connect with the people doing Chamber work in communities across Saskatchewan, share ideas and learn from one another.

A big thank you to Patty and the Prince Albert and District Chamber of Commerce team for being such wonderful hosts and showing us around your city. We had a great time!

Canada is making significant decisions about investment, major projects, supply chains and industrial capacity. What do those decisions mean for Saskatchewan?

On September 8, join the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce in Regina for a luncheon and fireside chat with the Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Industry, presented by The Mosaic Company - Canada.

Hear the Minister’s perspective on strengthening Canada’s industrial competitiveness, and the opportunities these priorities could create for Saskatchewan businesses and our provincial economy.
